Oishii Japan goodbye Japan

Image
Follow my blog with Bloglovin EN My first time in Japan has been awhile, almost 2 years now to be exact but I can still remember the fond things of Japan like food. And more food. And food and Japanese serenity and kawaii designs and all the "Oohs and the awwwhs" of Japan. Yes, those are very fond remembering. Down below I've summed up some leftover photo's of tasty Japanese food back in 2018. Not only I'll explain why I find Japanese food so tasty but why it also fascinates me. Like this can of dolphin meat I've found in a supermarket.

Hill of the Buddha, hi!

Image
EN My final attraction visit in Japan-Sapporo was at the Hill of the Buddha (頭大仏) . Well perhaps the word 'attraction' is too bright of a word because Hill of the Buddha is part of a cemetery. But even it's part of a cemetery it's not as gloomy or spooky this Buddha Hill is! Much more the opposite. There's a 13,5 meter Buddha statue half hiding under a lavender hill. You can still see the top of his head from outside but the rest you need to check it out by going through a tunnel. I've been to the Big Buddha in Hong Kong ( post ) before which I loved it and so I was very excited to this Buddha visit and I loved it a lot as well!  The surrounding is just very serene and very clever design and thoughts about planting lavenders around the hill as well. And the best of all: it's free!  NL Mijn laatste attractie in Japan-Sapporo was bij Hill of the Buddha  (頭大仏) hoewel het woord 'attractie' misschien te vrolijk woord is, want Hill of t...

Shiroi Koibito Themepark (白い恋人パーク)

Image
EN My one and only theme park visit in Japan: Shiroi Koibito Park. It is created by the chocolate brand Ishiya and because of that Shiroi Koibito Park is a sweet theme park with lots of food props. I`d say it felt like going through Charlie`s Chocolate Factory! I wonder if Shiroi Koibito Park was inspired by Charlie`s Chocolate Factory? Anyways! This park has a free section part and a paid section. Since Shiroi Koibito Park was under construction, the paid section was free. Well lucky me! But because it was partly under construction, I wasn`t been able to see all of Shiroi Koibito Park. This park is very manmade I think but nonetheless if you like sweet, cuteness and just sense positive vibes then this theme park might be the one for you to check out! NL In Japan ging ik op bezoek bij een pretpark genaamd Shiroi Koibito Park . Het park is opgericht door het chocolademerk Ishiya en hierdoor is dit pretpark geheel zoet aangekleed in food attributen. Voor mij voelde het...
